HOME IMPROVEMENT :: DRIVES :: LANDSCAPING

Euroscot Driveways Home

New technologies are improving the way that we be build and finish drives and walkways. The process is outlined below:

Existing Tarmac, brick or grass is removed and the ground is leveled, compacted and prepared for the next stage.
The building is protected by plastic sheeting.
The space is prepared and sectioned into areas depending on the patterns that are required.
The concrete is then coloured with colour Hardener which is troweled into the surface. This stage gives you the colour of the drive when it is finished. The colour agents are then worked in. Experience is the important factor at this stage.
After the non-stick powder is applied the surface is imprinted with rubber moulds of one, or many designs, including Random Stone, London Cobblestone, Ashlar Slate etc. The space can be divided into areas using different patterns to mark different areas on a drive or patio.
Experience is needed as the depth of the imprint is vital to the quality of the final effect.

The pattern is created by the rubber mats indenting the surface of the concrete.
The pink color is due to a release agent that acts like talcum powder to prevent sticking when the mats are used. This is not permanent.

The pink dust is not permanent. We can do a pink drive if you like!
After the area is dry the release agent is washed off the surface and sealed with a coat of an acrylic based sealant to protect it from fading or staining from all of nature's elements.

We now have to wait for the area to dry before we can seal it permanently.

No parking please!

The sealant is applied and again left to dry out. Waiting is all that is left to do. Cars must not be used for 3 days. heavy goods vehicles can be used after a couple of weeks.

A great new look to your home,

Greatly increases the value of the property!!

This section of the drive has been given a different pattern to give a different area on the same drive.
Close ups of the finished job highlight the quality of the process.

There will never be a weed on this drive!

Spills are not going to be a problem either!
